asking for some mapper help

you may have seen that im making the first dod source paratrooper/objective map.
I dont really know what im doing with hammer and would really appreciate some expert mapping help to just tidy the edges to make the map look more professional.
such as help with making a mini map, help making flares, make the bunker look more sourcified.

Here's my advice: Stop worrying about the freaking flare. Try and make a playable map first...the "ohhh" and "ahhh" stuff can be put in later. I started mapping years ago when I followed a few Quake tutorials and built a room...then two rooms connected by a tunnel. Then a door!!! After a bit I was able to construct a large room w/monsters in it and off I went to a life in mapping.

For DoD you should try a open area with a few spawns and a few capture zones first...figure out the mechanics of scoring. Then draw out a layout you think has promise...populate it w/lego-type buildings as place holders and playtest. All the eye candy int he world can't save a crappy MP map...so work on gameplay first, second, and third...and at the last moment (once you have solid gameplay) add in the "ohhh's" and "ahhh's"

I tried putting in a sky box but decided not to when i noticed the clouds and aircraft were being reflected in the sky box.

so i just made some land around the outside of the map.

lol fuzzdad gd lesson, my map so far doesnt look amazing (hl1 ish), but plays really well and is gd fun, just some players dont like a dark map so i wanted some flares to light up the area every now and then.
either that or ill have to lighten it up, but then the axis in the bunker would have a easy time spotting the enemy sneaking up on the bunker.

another query.

can you disable a spawn point and then anable another spawn.

i.e.

I want to stop the axis spawning after 3 out of 4 flags are capped.
or just when 1 flag is capped if there is no way to do the 3 out of 4 thingy

was about to start on the flare then found that the env_flare entity is not in dods :confused:

i found that too. i tried to use a light_dynamic but it doesnt make any light for me
