Two model and script related questions

1) I'm trying to recompile the knife with animations that use the blade rather than your fist for the primary fire. However, when I compile, the wrists and the hands are screwed up. Other people have encountered this I know - notably that Thompson covert. How do you get past this?

2) Is there a program I can use to edit the *.ctx files for weapon scripts? I know the Shores of Glory team have managed to convert them to *.txt files, but I also need a way to convert them back. I need them in a format I can edit to change the sounds of the afore-mentioned knife.

EDIT:

3) Anyone know where to access the start videos for DoDS? I want to add one, but it doesn't run from /media/StartVids.txt like CSS and HL2

The decompiler or importer for 3dsmax flips the wrist bone all over the place(left ulna and left wrist bones i think) so you have to readjust them for each animation.

I decompiled with Cannonfodders Source Model Decompiler, and it was all QC work. Never went into a modelling program.

Ok so it's the decompiler flipping the bones around. I don't know if cannonfodder still upgrades his source stuff.

Anyone able to give answers to the last two questions?
