New Mapper in the folds, Hammer question

Hey all,

After years of simply playing this fine game, I've decided to have a try at mapping from the encouragement of a couple people.

I'm learning Hammer the only way I think you can really learn anything - by jumping right into it and getting some hands on experience.

Thanks to many helpful tutorials I can in fact build big lego-block style houses, and hopefully sometime in the (likely far) future I'll get to share a WIP map with you all. Or at least build architecture that Fuzzdad would approve of.

I have a question I haven't been able to find an answer to...

Is there a way to rotate brushes (on the x/y scale) in Hammer?

Example - I like to build my houses in a separate part of the Hammer grid than the actual map, right on the x/y lines so I can scale them correctly, and then drag them over to the map and place them where I want them.

To avoid a map full of houses at perfect right angles to each other, is there a way to rotate the house after constructing it? Will I have to construct the house in a special way? I haven't been able to find a rotate tool, but I am just starting out at this.

Thanks

Dwin

CTRL-M opens up the transform menu.

From there you can rotate, scale (and one other thing, I dont remember) on all axes.
