okay, surely this is one of the signs of the coming apocalypse. Wile has made an un-realistc skin. But dang it looks too good not to release! :D

I've been practicing with Alpha maps, and I saw bmartinson's silver colt post, and it got me tinkering.....

Very hard to show the beauty of a chrome skin in still photos, but I'll do my best

Special today!!! Download in the next ten minutes, get the second download absolutely free!!! Hurry, offer good while supplies last!!!

*EDIT* been playing around more, this time with Fraps and making movies. Here is a movie which shows the chrome effect better, BUT the movie is actually a bigger download than the skin (http://files.filefront.com/chrome_colt_divxrar/;4763163;;/fileinfo.html). Divx codec, 2.7mb download

Not realistic at all. Okay, let's pretend you are such a great soldier that a general, (General Patton, yeah that's the ticket!) has presented you with his own personal sidearm out of respect. However, in my own defense, I can say this type of M1911 colt DID exist back in the 1940's and was very popular (pearl or ivory grips). It's just doubtful you'd see one on the front lines of Europe. But who cares! It looks cool! hehehe......

now that I think about it I'm not sure if they DID crome weapons back then.... But I know the made mirror-polished nickel plated ones. Ahhhh, I'm just getting anal now....

[DoD]Agent~0 - Basically the entire skin except for the pearl grips, since the skin is the default DOD skin

Holy Smoligans!!!!

Looks awesome Wile, did you use the alpha maps
on the bullets???
That might be a breakthrough in weapon skinning!!!:p

For an "unrealistic" skin, this is damn sexy and I wouldnt
mind some more lol :D

ROFL dude, you lay too much credit on me. It's just [dod]Agent~0's skin with an alpha map and the EXACT same VMT specs found in the HL2's .357 magnum

nice, the shine is great - still not a big fan of the ivory for a WWII colt (i prefer the wood skin i did :D)...it seems more like a show-room type colt - but as you said it's something unrealistic and thats cool too

nice job

just out of curiosity, I know this is irrelivant, but would those flag skins happen to be the ones of felix's that I redid for source?? :)

I honestly have no idea. Whoever was the first to put out a 48-star flag, that's who's skin it is. I've been using it for a long time now and have fogotten all the details. I adjusted it for brightness and contrast, but basically didn't touch it otherwise

Nice work. As I said in another post, had one very similar a long while back.

Any way you can make it black with the white pearl handles and re-release? The one I had actually had more of a yellowish pearl. No biggie either way.

Good work to all involved.
