ok, so ValvE must have seen some of my maps and banned me from mapping or something, because no matter what, even if i make a room with nothing in it, and play it i get this error:
STEAM validation rejected
but it happens ONLY when im making it with sv_lan 0, i change it to sv_lan 1 and it works... anyone got a fix?

*note: also, a little bug you can try, make a map with 2 spawns, one per team, and put ONLY their feet in the ground. play it, and take the rocket. if you set it up so you have a room, with 2 extra brushes where people spawn just a little bumped up, when they spawn there carbine / c69 with slide out from under their body and they look like they are carrying the rocket launcher, but the actual model isnt there... its kinda funny cause you cant see the rocket launcher and a rocket just flies out of nowhere.

The map will work, you just can't launch it by typing "map <mapname>" in console.

If you click "Create Server" and launch it that way, it will load fine.

People will be able to play your map.

I don't know if this helps, but in your "Steam\SteamApps\x@y\day of defeat source\dod\cfg" folder create a

listenserver.cfg

and put into that

sv_lan 1

That means DOD:S will launch the map successfully, straight from Hammer.

edit: no that's not going to help you, is it? Hmmm. Still it's useful info for somebody (hopefully!)
