Requesting Help(please read)

Recently I had a hard drive failure and lost all of my mapping files for Day of Defeat: Classic. Now since it's kinda impossible to get custom maps on 3.1 nowadays(not that I've tried), and I don't really feel like searching for my original HL CD and reinstalling my sierra folder, I'm wondering if anyone on these forums can host their library of mapping files for Classic. By mapping files, I mean the newest FGD, Zoner's Tools, the models, sounds, sprites, wads, gfx, and whatever other useful directories there are for making classic maps.

I'd really like to move up to source mapping, but since there's still no official FGD, and even following all instructions given in that one thread my sdk still crashes all the time, I can't really do that. I don't know how all you guys are making maps if the flags don't work and the editor is so buggy for Day of Defeat(not being supported yet n' all), but you should do me a favor let me in on the secret. :p

I still need the classic stuff though...I have a few maps to finish on that version. :) Any help is greatly appreciated.

So I'm not the only one with the flags that don't work? Good... so I don't feel so bad about my flags not working correctly (but still working).

You shouldn't need to follow any instructions in any thread. Just stick "-beta SDK" in the Launch line and you should be all set. Yes, Hammer is buggy, but so was the old hammer, and you really do learn to work with it ok.

But if you still want to work with 1.3, here's the FGD's that I got:
Download 3 FGD files (http://dod.kinetikproze.com/misc/dodg-fgd.rar)

and my main WAD file (54MB... has 150-400 textures in it):
Download my Master WAD file (http://dod.kinetikproze.com/misc/MASTER.rar)

and my Zoners tools folder:
Download Zoners Tools (http://dod.kinetikproze.com/misc/ZHLT.rar)

(all the files are in RAR format, so you'll need WinRAR to unzip if you don't have it yet)

The models, sounds and sprites, are pushing it, however... you can get that on your own, really.

For Source mapping do you use those Zoner's tools?

The team that made ZHLT have made a CST (Custom Source Tools) equivalent. ZHLT doesn't support Source.

CST, as far as I know, isn't developed anymore. The lead coder stated as much on the VDC.

Thank you very very much. That's pretty much everything that I had lost that i was having trouble finding. And yes, my clan's server does have a huge library of customs, so I've pretty much been going on there when the server is dead and downloading the files for each map one by one. As soon as I have a really complete library of all that stuff, I'm going to probably host a torrent on some site so that anyone else who still maps for 1.3 can get all that stuff easily. Or at least, you guys could always IM me if you need that stuff. :) I'm glad you had a master wad file like that....before my drive failure, I had something quite similar(although it was even bigger). But anyway, thank you again for the help Streamline.
