Hello everyone,

I've never mapped before, know how, or know what I'm doing.. but the whole thing looks pretty neat.

I have looked around for a while, but I'm still unclear of which "Software Developers Kit" I should be after. If anyone could tell me which one is right for mapping DoD: Source maps that'd be great... maybe a link to get it to:)

Just open STEAM and click "Tools". Download "Source SDK", and use Hammer to make a map.

To download the beta, go to your Desktop Shortcut for STEAM. Open up the properties and add this to the target (after the steam.exe and "quotes"):

-beta sdk

Just so. After the quotes, SPACE, -beta SPACE sdk

Then, if you have steam open already, close it, and double-click from your Desktop Shortcut.

The DoD SDK should download from there, when it's finished open up steam, games, Source SDK. Source SDK should have a dropdown at the bottom where you select Day of Defeat Source.

Open up Hammer and happy mapping. :) Let me know if that helped.
