Hi there, I've made several models and they render funny :o
prop_physics_multiplyer and prop_dynamic come up like this:

Anyone know why the on the other side of the door is rendering?

I can't really tell whats going on there.... could you explain it better, post a lit photo perhaps? Maybe we can help you out.

I'm not sure if that's a reflection or not... But it the pic there, it looks like the door handle on the other side of the door is showing right through the model.

In the picture you can see the handle on the other side, he is wondering why you can.

What I'm wondering is why you felt the need to remake this model when it exists in the gcf? Unless it contains new stuff, it looks pretty similar to the dod door model in props_doors

Maybe post the .vmt for the texture on the model?

Could be something as simple as an incorrect .vmt value.

Looks EXACTLY the same to me, I have used this door and hasn't shown errors like this. Have you tried setting up a blank map with just the door? Maybe a nice dev textured floor :P?

There were a lot of models like that in the dod_anvil betas. FuzzDad will surely know the answer. Seen at least one in the dod_salerno betas as well (happen to have a screenshot (http://home.comcast.net/~tgnottingham/Salerno/dod_salerno_b40007.jpg) -- meh, can't see it very well there...).

Sorry for late reply,
I didn't mean I 'made' the models, I can't model for dirt :o
Whats happening is that the other side of the door handle looks like it is rendering when it is obviously on the other side of the door. The Church pew does this too. I was wondering if it was one of those 'render fx' options but it seems there are none :(
