dod_dijon is my first map ever, set in the historic (and preserved) downtown of Dijon, France. The layout is actually largely inspired by the actual location. It's currently at beta 4 for testers.

All screens in 1680*1050 (16/10 20" Apple Display), full HDR, AA 6x, AF 16x, full compile (not "-final"). Each weighs about 1 Mb, 56kers have been warned.

All content subject to change, this is WIP

Love the streets !!!

The window in pic dod_dijon_b413.jpg. It appears to be unlit (fullbright). Other than that, verrry nice !

It's not a model. It's a brush based solution to the model, which is really huge and wouldn't fit. It's the same texture though (effects/vollight I think)

Those are func_illusionary. The actual texture being a bright yellow, I had to play with the func_illusionary fx amount so it wouldn't be as bright as in HL2

It may be that my custom textures need HDR info in their VMT files...

God, I wish I had a display like yours.

The map looks fantastic. Crisp, clean and highly detailed, something that is essential for a good DoD Source map. Good work, and I hope we see more.

Hows the testing been going Furyo?

I havent been able to make it over to CoJ for any of the tests ( time difference thing again 0_o ), although I was on there last night with Cran and Lumaxis for a few games.

I wish I had this setup to tell you the truth, but this my best friend's not mine. I can't even run HDR...

Loco the tests have been better lately, starting from pretty low on the awsomeness scale. Instead of looking like I'm blowing up smoke up your butt, I'd rather let the testers express themselves about it...

For me I'm happy to play it (although I don't expect everyone to like it) and it remains something that puts a grin on my face. And for a first map, I believe it is on par if not better than a lot of other customs we've seen since dod source was released. At least I find it more fun to play than other maps...
