UPDATE: Here's some in-game photos with the final version of this skin, with the dirty and cut up hands with the darker lines in the hands:
http://webpages.marshall.edu/~blessing5/hands.jpg

To apply these, download the file (you'll need both of these):
256x256 Version (http://www.dayofdefeat.net/forums/attachment.php?s=&postid=72048)
256x254 Version (http://www.dayofdefeat.net/forums/attachment.php?s=&postid=72052)

Once you have the files, import it over the hand texture in the old models.

If I can get enough hosting space I can have a link to download a default model pack with this hand texture on all the models.

hmmm, yeah, there is something wrong with the .bmp you attached dillinger. the first time I clicked on it my computer froze, and when I downloaded it I got an error message 'drawing failed' when I tried to open it and look at it.

Darn, I dont know how to do all that 'save as indexed color and save as .bmp' junk:( Do ya think that you can just convert that really dirty/bloody one for me dillinger and post it as .bmp to make things less complicated? then I can just slap em on my dod models in HLMV easy.

Thank god for that..i know where i am with bmp files and hlmv:)

I love the really dirty ones..know its just the boring bit of putting them on my models:o

Yeah, it is kinda tedious! I was going to put them on just the guns I use the most, but ended up putting them on almost everything haha.

everythings going fine sof-far..only trouble is the your enfield dillinger;)

textures must be of the same size?..both of your reskinned enfield(scoped/unscoped) are giving me this error?

apart from that, everythings going swimmingly:D

[edit] and your k-43 model:P..just found that one...

Some of the models resize the hand texture to 256x254, so here's that version of the skin in case you can't resize it yourself.

Wow! Great work Dillinger, I'm using these right now.

They're a little dark ingame, could you make it so it still shows some 'peach'?

EDIT: But they are still ****ing awesome!

Dillinger

I'm not totally sure but I'm pretty sure if the hands are that dirty the wrinkles of the hands would stand out more, because dirt collects in them. They would appear darker and more visable.

Again I'm not totally sure, I guess you could rub your hands in some dirt.. but meh.

Still great work.

Excellent work, took me ages to add them to every single model.. but its well worth it. SOOOO realistic :)

Here's some in-game shots (these feature the new hands, with darker wrinkles from the texture attached below). Sorry I took so long to get them up!

And... thanks for the reply from Agent! You are right the wrinkles should be darker. I did a little darkening in the hand wrinkles, so if you like that (and I do), download and apply the version of these hands that's attached below.

Also, if I can get some hosting space, I will post a download with all of the V_models with these hands applied. So get in touch if you have some space! Thanks.

Hey dillinger, i have another good idea, how bout you cut up/scuff up the default sleeves? like, make em dirty and ripped up like ya did the hands. Then we will have a complete set!:D

Dillinger
05-23-2003, 05:16 PM
I am one step ahead of you man :) I'm already testing some scuffed up sleeves.

Also, see my thread about photorealistic hand skins. If it works out good, I am going to go get my hands dirty and then we'll have photorealistic dirty hands :D
