I like the fact that the left hand isn't only on the magazine, like Sober's is. :p

I'm digging the origins.

But what about DoD:S animations? Those are on CS:S hands.

Make the pic smaller please. No need to break the table for a less that fascinating screenshot. :mod:

Seems like the FOV isnt right. It's supposed to be 90

Not a fan of the origins being like that im more of the weapon being pointed forward and centre. I know the reason why you want them like that tho because you want people to see the skin.

I Have the gun like that because because it is more realistic, i mean if you held the gun up to your shoulder you would see alot of it.

The FOV should be right, im using Jennifer!!'s camera from her css rig.

I am using CSS hands because i havent got ahold of DOD:S hands yet.

Jenn is a guy, he uses that name because it is the name of his girlfriend iirc.

Wrong. With a gun shouldered you barely see the sides of it.

And yes, Jenn is a guy.

Who cares, it looks better then DOD S origins.

dont care much for the origins, if you trying to aim, your going use What part, the sights Correct, not hold it to your right. It looks like hes using his elbo as a brace.

actually, he's right Zoidberg, when you have a firearm's stock wresting on your shoulder, it's nearly at a right angle to your face, so you see barely any of the side of it at all. (and being a firearm owner I know this from experience with handling them)

If you hold the gun to your shoulder and not use the sights, that is what it would look like, i know, because i used a gun with similar preportions to the mp40 as a refrence.

Plus there are camera limitations, i could never get it perfect because of sources camera settings.

Okay normally I don't jump in on disagreements like this, it's your model, do whatever the heck you want. But I am SERIOUSLY wondering how wide your shoulders are. You say you used a gun as reference? was it like this?

No I did not use the Mp41 as a refrrence.

I used a gun of similar size, and remember the camera makes it look strange, it bends the image a little bit.

Now I am not changing the way its positioned.

I certainly wasn't suggesting you change it. I'm am beyond certain that many people prefer that angle. I was simply reffering to the arguement "it's more realistic".

No it's not. ROFL

Agreed. Ok, I had your picture up on my screen, and stood with my shorty 870 (not an MP40, I know, but it's all I have handy), trying to match the angle on your origins. At almost a perfect match for the angle, I had the buttplate resting on my right bicep, almost near my elbow. I'm no shrimp, either, I'm pretty broad-shouldered and have a good reach. With it resting in a low ready, not looking down the sights, I can't read the stampings on the left side of the reciever.

If you like your origins, that's great. They work just as well as any other origin. However, they ain't even close to realistic. So if you're shooting for something that looks good, that's one thing. If you're going to realistic, you're gonna need to make an adjustment. That's all we're saying.

The DOD:S default proportions are as close to real as you're going to get.
