Ok I'll make it clear then ;)

prop should be a prop_static, and they're in the props_fortifications folder :)

Watch out for the UFO in there, there is an individual sandbag model there which you can use, but that's gonna be a prop_physics_multiplayer.

ok, well i had to manually add the props_fortifications to the directory in hammer, but none of the models have any textures on them, how do i fix this.

did you change the Gameinfo.txt AppID from 220 to 300? in youraccount/day of defeat source/dod ?

your case is a classic one. DOD fdg is not release yet. To be able to see them with all textures as well, you need to follow instructions in this thread to set up a temporary working FDG.

http://www.dayofdefeat.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=55247

Once this is done and you get it working, remember one thing, each time you will go play dods, your day of defeat\dod\GameInfo.txt will have a number 300 change back to 220. open it change it back to 300 each time you need to open hammer. This is a temporary fix until they release the official dod FDG.

Hope this is clear.

If you do it right, you won't have to extract anything and all will work.

This is something I can live with, it's not a big problem at all, but I have that same custom FGD, everything set up correctly, yet my models appear with a black skin in hammer, however they work fine in game. Anyway to fix this? Just really annoying..

Mine is 32 bit and i still have that black model problem. I just learned to accept it and live with it. But its a bugger when u wanna show in hammer shots of you map to some of your friends and they ask the same question, "What are those black things"
