Error uploading Source maps

With a great deal of the custom maps that have been coming out lately, I've added many to the server.

When I run them and playtest them, I get this error:

"Your map differs from the server's. Disconnecting."

Now, I uploaded that map to the server, so it's the same map. Has anybody else experienced this? These are my theories, and I put this thread in this forum due to the first theory:

- Many of the custom maps are unstable due to the lack of an FGD? The only problem with this theory is that the maps seem to work fine on other servers.

- There is a problem with my copy of DoD:S?

- My FTP client is changing the map slightly when I upload it? I used SmartFTP, and I've heard good things about it, but I have a strong feeling that this is the likely culprit.

- My game server host is somehow messed up, and the maps get altered during upload somehow?

As a final note, I can say that if I delete a map and then re-download it from our server, it will let me connect. But that tells me that unless people download the map from us, then they won't be able to play it. So if someone DL's the map on another server and tries to play on ours at a later date, it won't let them connect. And vice-versa, if someone with our version of the map wants to play somewhere else, it won't let them.

This is really bothering me, due to the fact that I can't fix it. My host is no help and I'm not a good tech head. I've always been a custom map provider, and we're missing out on some quality maps due to this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well as I suggested to you before in a previous thread when it first happened I said I heard some ftp programs will put a new timestamp on the files when you upload them to your site. So when you connect to your server it thinks you have different files. I don't know if there is a setting on your ftp program that causes this or maybe you have to try another ftp program. I use IE to ftp files to our server and haven't had any problems.

Hope you get it fixed soon.

I have changed to LeechFTP based on your initial suggestion, Private Dyin.

But I haven't tested it tonite, as the server was full. If it's not the FTP client, what else could it possibly be?
