My Map Idea Im Trying to Execute (Badly)

Two buildings , a road in between them. The flags are in the buildings. More of a CQB house to house fight. I dont know how the gameplay will be or anything but i figure it shouldnt be TOO hard to map. If i could work out all the gameplay issues , it would be something completely different.

Sooo...thoughts.

PS- Ill probably give up on this map in 3 days or so. Anyone who wants to steal my idea (I dont know why , its not that great) feel free , you could do it better than me.

basically your going to have to watch r_speeds on your road. keep the fronts of the houses simple and make sure theres a good couple of walls before you start really polsihing up the insides. I'm not saying make it a wasteland, just watch your self there a lot. other than that, add some ways across up in the higher floors like clotheslines etc..

I'm sure that there is a better way to execute it, but its not a bad idea. Try maybe something like 2 castles or something, then with bazookas to blow up some of the walls. But not too much (r_speeds). Some debree in the middle,that could be cool, but like you said, you'd have to work out a lot of gameplay elements.

only real problem I see is spawning? since spawn camping might become a major issue if its continual spawn and not round based spawns.

Yeah but its not like 2 fort , 2 fort had a long distance in-between buildings. Im talking like just one road , maybe 20 feet. think of firing MG42s back and forth.

I thought about having bazooka/schreck targets that like laid a 'bridge' out of rubble across the top floors. Im sure ud have to make a couple paths across the top. It would probably be pretty difficult to map towards the end. But ill try until i get too frustrated :)

Im new to mapping so these R_speed issues might be hard to get around for me , well see how it goes. If anyone wants to use this idea (not saying its great or anything) go ahead , i dont mind. I just map when i dont have anything else to do :)

dod_2forts allready exists :p , dod_2fort should be ok :)

The distance im viewing in between buildings is very close to whats in between those buildings there. Now i wouldnt have the rest of fabrik , it would just be 2 buildings. Otherwise action tends to wander everywhere.

*Edit* for spawns i could make the top 2 or so floors in each building one team only , and have holes in the floor/stairs that they could fall/walk down to get into the main building.
