I didn't know to put this in MSA or Support,so I put it here:rolleyes: Anyhow, I recently noticed my sten model is lacking transparent holes, instead they are bright blue. I know the blue is where the transparency is supposed to be,but it isn't. I would like to know how I can fix this and/or get a sten replacement that fixes this problem.

thx in advance,kameradschaft

im guessing you have to decompile and edit the .qc. when you do decompile, open the .qc in notepad and add the line $texrendermode "filename.bmp" "masked"

the filename should be one of the textures that use transparencies, and do this for all of them

Actually I think he's referring to the default Sten, in which case it sounds like you didn't install DoD right and then it didn't update the rendering engine like it should. Delete or rename your DoD folder, then install it.

Yes,it is the default sten. But,I only had the problem after i used the sten in 'DOD 1.0 sound conversion' by sgt.Rogacz. maybe its the catched.wad he included thats faulty?

ps-it happened on the bren and carbine too,but i downloaded new models for them and it was fixed, just cant find a replacement model for sten. also, the blue junk only happened on those specific models, not others that used teansparency(ie-30 cal was fine)

There's an MP28 that replaces the Sten, but I replaced the MP40 with it. It's a very nice model too.
