Custom Objective Icon (Help!)

Hey,

I've been trying to import my own custom objective icons, it works but the image turns out blurred in game... i'm using the following code in the vmt file:

"UnlitGeneric"
{
"$translucent" 1
"$baseTexture" "sprites\obj_icons/icon_obj_axis"
"$vertexcolor" 1
"$no_fullbright" 1
"$ignorez" 1
}

The image properties are the same as the valve ones, I think.. so it must be how its parsing it...

Any ideas?
Thanks

Are you just editing the icon VTF file from the gcf or are you creating your own? I found simply editing the vtf and putting it into the right folder, and not creating a VMT at all (letting DoD:S use the default one) worked like a charm for me...

i tried just making the VTF file using VTFTool with no VMT & inserting it using the default VMT but it was still blurred.

Just to be more specific im taking a 64x64 pixel TGA, using VTFTool to export it with AND without VMT files and its still blurry, i try using Photoshop with the VTF plugin to save it to VTF format, still blurry, i've even tried using the default VMT files that come with DoD S.

:(

You the man Wulf...

I just opened the default obj_icon VTF using photoshop, pasted my image i wanted to use into it and saved its changes. Seems to work that way so i'm not complaining.

Would still be cool to know how to go about making one from scratch without me pasting my desired image onto a default VTF for it to work

:D

I know it's a bit of a pain, but it allows people wits Paint Shop Pro to make them too...

Right i've managed to force the plugin to work in PSP (its a bit unstable but it works..) - but it still seems to be blurry in game... I honistly dont know what the issue is now!

Intresting... I extracted the axis objective logo from the GCF and resaved it and that appears as blurry....

Somethings not right here, what flags am I supposed to set on the save?
