[REL] Canadian Loyal Edmonton Regiment

By modern standards these models are a bit dated so don't expect too much.

About a year ago a guy called Vincent commisioned me to make some player models of his regiment, The Loyal Edmonton Regiment.

I found them buried on my hard disk the other day so I mailed him and asked if I could release them publically and he said OK. So, err, heres some Canadian player models to replace the British if your so inclined.

Basically its the original DoD Brit player model with my low-poly/moving mouth heads on. I've added a transparent scrim to the helmet with a field dressing tucked under at the back. I've also added a rolled gas cape to the webbing set.

I've tweaked the colours also and made the webbing "sand" as per Canadian regulations rather than the British green. Arm patches are as per the unit 1943.

Zip includes models for 1.3 and 1.0 (if anyone is still using retail+sturmbot) and a period Canadian flag model.

Keep away from naked flames.

Download, eh? (http://www.wunderboy.org/download.php?file=loyal_edmonton_dod_1.x.zip&s=1)

They do look very nice, very crisp looking judging by the picture. Unfortunatly that will be as close a look im gonna get, as i couldn't possibly replace your British Para's with berets.

Any wip's of them sourcified yet:p

Nah, havent really looked at doing anything Source related with my Brits/Canadians except a few concept sketches, ideas, resource gathering.

Well I wasn't paid per say - I was given a "thank you" in the form of a donation but they asked so nicely and with such a compelling argument it was hard to say no! :)

And we needed some Canadians anyway :D

Well the helmets are the default ones and yes, the mesh is a bit "odd" but what can you do with 1 bit transparency?

Anyway, as I said their about a year old now these models so I guess back then they were pretty good.
