I may be a Noob, but i don't have a clue how to install custom model skins. I know the directory: ....dod\models\player
But after installing Dod v 1.0 there are only 5 models in there. I did read some other faq's and they all talk about 12 models. All the modelpacks have 6 each. Do i make any sense to you?
Give me some advice please!

exit, there arnt many player models out for 1.0 yet, so the models your downloading are for 3.1 and stuff. Look for releases of player models in these forums and stuff for 1.0 and it'll all make sense to ya :D

p.s. there called submodels

ok in dod v1.0, all the models use submodels, so there is only one model file. in HLMV, go to the body tab, and then scroll through the submodels. old 3.1 models will not work with DoD. the model_t file is for the textures.

All models now use submodels like there paras allready did in 3.1.
Basicly all models have been merged in one file. Nobody really knows why exactly the DoD did this as the new file system safes onely a few MG of diskspace but limits the maximum size and number of textures and polys.

Ok, it's becoming clear to me now. I was confused, 'cause i used to play counterstrike and they have all these seperate model- directories. That's much more convient i think.

Thank for all your [quick] replies!

Yep, i know what you mean, that's why i rather play Dod. It's got this 'unique' feel. The gameplay is awsome & real! On the other hand is it time for some high poly skins to polish 'm up a bit.
