Hi all

My name is Ronan Hayes, Im lead programmer over at http://www.1944game.com

We are currently in the process of developing a quick HL2 mod and we are in need of some good HL2 Mappers, its obviously a WW2 mod, if you feel you could contribute some unique scenarios, missions and levels feel free to email us:

recruit@franticgames.com

for the levels you will have total creative control, if you want all the research done, we can arrange that, provide concept art, textures, models and anything else you may need.

We are developing a full game using the Reality Engine, and if you wish to take your maps beyond the mods, we would be happy to have you in the team. If you wish just to focus on the HL2 mod we are more than happy with that as well.

We are currently wrapping up programming of the mod, and are eager to test, as we expect to release in the next month. Any contributions would be a great boost.

Cheers
Ronan

Wow...

This mod has great potential! Great nodelwork (really great), promissing (reallity)engine and a great accomodation for anyone willing to join the devteam.

If I had the time, I would certainly think about it!
This is a mod to watch!
Succes,

Can anyone give me some links for the best place to look for mappers. It pretty tragic that we only have 2 mappers on the team, yet have nearly 10 programmers and over 20 modelelrs...

Any ideas on where would be the best place to look. We are well on target for our 1st community release in july, but if we dont have good mappers the mod will certainly not be done justice.

Hi Iono,

Well, I can't really give you any advice on were to look for mappers.
However, I am a pretty advanced user of Hammer 3.5. I have made a few mediocre maps (except dod_vaals wich, layoutwise, kix ars). If you don't mind, I'll contact you when I think I can start making maps for the source engine.

Succes on finding mappers,

tomato

Iono ... this is the best place to find DoD mappers. CS and other HL1 mods ... you need to go else where ;)

Well I figured here would be the best place for DOD mappers, problem is I have had only a handful of replies and emails, so I was curious if you had any other advice on where to look for mappers

@killer tomato

Look forward to it.
