ok so when i compiled that mg42/30cal doodad a while back the transparency all worked fine. i'm trying to compile a redone m1 carbine, i have the last color ont he palette at 0,0,255 and the transparent parts at that as well, and i have the qc file set up right with the $texrendermode "skin4_test.bmp" "masked" thing set up right and everything, newest studiomdl.exe but every time i try to compile it and play it ingame, the transparency still shows as blue spots on the skin. any ideas?

there were 2 studiomdl's released... one which supported transparencies and one player model compiler. i dont know if the player model compiler supported transparencies or not...so your problem might lie there. try using the studiomdl released on that site with the tutorial.

they both support transparency, I used it to make the feathers on my Bersagliere pack
