well i like the idea, except that i'm advertising for your website, in my map..

so i'm not doing it.

when i make a map, it is mine. when a group of people makes a map it belongs to the group..

but never will i put somebody else his name somewhere in my map..

esspecialy because it has to be viewable IN the map, so not a secret room orso..

that would ruin the map right away

It can be in the deepest most unused corner aslong as people can see and read it.

I like the idea, unfortunately I'm working on an objective map at the moment. the contest period is fairly long, so I may take a crack at it later. when you say "league map" what exactly do you mean? I assume that means small, suited for 6 to 8 players per team, but clarification would be helpful.

I know that you probably don't have tons of money to throw around, but at the moment the prizes seem kinda weak for the amount of work that goes into making a good map.

basicP: asking for advertisement is pretty standard fare for any contest. like he said, it doesn't have to be overt, just in there somewhere. in breakout, I have my "sig" in a secret room, but there is a teleporter in the tanker car that takes you there. from my reading of his rules, something like that would work.

Important Question:

"4. The map must be your original work. No spin-offs of other maps (i.e. dod_merderet and dod_sturm)."

What if I use the same basic path layout from another map but did the entire thing from scratch?
