new at mapping

hey guys, i just decided to make a couple of maps to see how they come out, ive been thinkin and have come up with a few ideas, can some 1 send me of give me a link for all the tools i need in 1 package to download thats simple? any help would be great, thanks...KC

go to www.mardymouse.com there are tons of tutorials there for new mappers. you could also check out this thread:

it is from my clans forum. in the second post down I list a step by step on getting set up, with links to programs and tutorials to get you started. hope it helps.

You will, the greatest advice I think anyone can give to a mapper starting out is to stick with it... No matter how good you get you will never stop learning and the only way to get their is start at the begining with the basics; Learn hammer and learn all the tools it involves and the rest will follow - dont get stuck into anything big to start off with, learn the correct use of hammer and that will be the solid foundation you need to move on into your first map :)
