ambient generic looping woes

Hey there. I have a multi-manager triggering a series of events for an airstrike. One of the things it triggers is an ambient_generic sound that comes over the radio to confirm the airstrike is inbound. I have the SMALL RADIUS and NOT LOOPED flags checked but this sound loops over and over and over again.

None of the other entities called by the multimanager repeat.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
AC

assuming that your triggers are all correct,
the problem is likely the .wav file itself (i'm assuming its a custom wav).
You will need a program like Goldwave, one that will let you set the flags on the wav file. HL is notoriously bad for playing looping/non-looping wavs. If i remember you will want to check that the wav file has one and only one flag, at the start. And make sure its a mono not stereo wav.

The good news is that you dont have to re-compile your map to fix it.

Hey there. Sorry not to respond faster. You were exactly right. I had recorded my own sound but then mixed it with a stock DoD sound...only to find the stock DoD sound had looping cue marks in it. I was able to remove them and make it work. Thanks again.
