I really like the blue :) The screenshot says replacement Fallschirmjager though, but the model is axis-inf. Would these guys have been used in the same sort of operations as paras or more like the normal Axis infantry?

Would renaming it to axis-para work? Might try it out just to see :)

sorry about that, was in a hurry to get them out.
nah, if renaming them would work, they'd probably be released as para.

They wore the Luftwaffe blue, totally realistic, historical, and a damn fine job, I must say.

These men were leftover Luftwaffe personnel, who were no longer needed in their support duties, since the Luftwaffe was dwindling in pilots and aircraft.

They were cobbled together as ad hoc defensive units, and sent to the front, not to attack, but to defend. The Heer took over, however, and misused these divisions by throwing them into the attack...something these Luftwaffe personnel neither had the training nor equipment to properly accomplish.

A couple of Luftwaffe divisions excelled, but most were bitter disappointments, due in large part to the Heer's meddling and misuse of these defensive units.

So, to answer your question, they were not used as paras, more like the light Heer units.

You just don't have an interest in luftwaffe uniforms, but that doesn't mean others don't.

Here are some screenies I took tonight, hope to get some flashier stuff soon.

a sign (http://www.frailart.net/members/folken/luftwaffev2.gif) of things to come...
notice the fixed collar tags, silver buttons, and silver belt buckle.
