Heh, I have continued to work on a map, which I thought I would never be working on again:

The map itself looks nice, clean and it has solid brushwork as far as i can see :) good work - but there are some things that don't work..the sky and the light don't match to each other. the models look blue, the func_invisible textures look also too blue and the sky doesn't fit to the theme in the map.

You can do 2 things:

a) change the lighting to a brighter and more colorful one and change the skytextures to a summerset.. >summer

b) change all the grass textures and tree and flower models, make the lighting darker/brownish or grey (but not blue:X) but keep the skybox.. >autumn

And please chose another water texture or make it at least transparent. You could also use more detail on the wooden fences (like one board going horizontal at the top).Then I hope you saw the misaligned texture on picture1 by yourself ;).. A last suggestion from me would be to vary the roof textures if youare able to see them ingame.

I like the changes to the forest area. Can you give us an overview. Maybe we can put it in BFE and then you can have hundreds of angry gamers on you about bias :)

The map is in alpha-stage , many areas are not done, but I have been looking at other non-finished maps I have and planning to merge the parts into this. No overview yet though :P . Yeah, it will be players yelling "OMG ALLIED/AXIS-BIASED!" in BFE, heh (if yako likes it and includes it). Since I have been playing in BFE since BFE13, I keep in mind that this map should suit a large number of players, but also clan-play (I've got some pro's PMing me about how flags should be placed, and ... stuff).

why does BFE use caen for finland?


btw map looks good, i like those textures against the bush; it brings a good contrast to the map.

Try to add some more detail to the roofs and and other surroundings and change the brightcolored lightning. Other then that it looks good ;)
