Hello ppl,

This will be my first "pack" release probably ending up with around 50 or so textures for Source projects.

The pack will have variations with windows (eventually) and a few damaged variants as well. Ill release this "soon" lol.

If you can think of a variant (besides those mentioned) and not the pic, let me know and Ill get it in the pack.

Heres a pic of the first 30:

Perhaps some with vines or other plant-life on them?

There are plant/vine decals you can use for that.

Could use a bit more contrast. But it's difficult to say, because the pics are a bit small. You should probably show us a bigger single texture of those.

I think there should be 'damaged' versions too and not so many of single type texture as above.

I had an idea some time ago that best way to release textures would be (for example) Photoshop file with layers. - 1 Layer - background, 2nd - decorations, damage, 3rd - windows and doors, so mapper could adjust version, positions and number of doors windows then merge all to single image. Single file instead of tenths versions of same texture.

But not everyone has forked out 300 bucks for photoshop.

I'll think about providing a .psd but no promises.

I do certainly understand where you are coming from Craftos. And yes not everyone has access to photoshop but thats where over 30 variants come in handy.

One thing i noticed is that you are wasting space on the textures. I'll just pretend these are all 512x512.

It looks like you had a 256x256 and copied it 4 times so it would cover an area of 512x512. What's the point in making it a 512 then in the first place?

not sure if you know what i mean so here's a little pic:

Since the textures -in my opinion- would fit better in 'natural envoirements' you should add plant/vine decals. Definitly.

Also add more contrast. I mean, these are outdoortextures right? Those wooden beams are darker in real-life. One reason for that is that they are (mostly) inpregnated.

Make some blend textures!!! Those are the funnest to use. Make them blend to a charred/burnt texture or something.
