dod_stuka_v1

I've downloaded the map but when I look at it on my PC the flags are all up in the air, apart from one and that is in the side of a hill.

I've also joined a few servers and the map also has this problem on the servers. I'm sure I've played it and seen it working but I assume Stripper2 was used.

I know the map originally implemented moving flags and with the recent updates (They removed movewith) the flags on dod_stuka_v1 are now placed wrong.

I doubt 3D_Mike and mawibse have the time to help but I can edit the map to get the flags working again but one question.

Where exactly were the flags placed in the map?

I can take a good guess from my days of playing the map but if any body can help then thanks in advance.

P.S. I have assumed that editing the map to place the flags in a useable position won't be frowned at by the mapping community. After all it allows old classic maps to be played the way they should be.

For other old dod maps maps edited by me look here:

Well ... yea, that would be cool ... I guess.

Strange he should give you the rmf then not wanted you changing it and releasing a map from it.

I like the map as it is, all I actully want is a better idea of where the flags were when the map worked.

I'm not to sure if having the rmf will actully help me, depends on where the flags and func_train entites were placed. I could only know that by having the rmf though.

Thing is, if I had the rmf I just don't have the time to do this map any justice what so ever, it would just be a case of sorting the flags out to make the map work. I can and already have done that with ripent.

Off topic for this thread but I've about finished sorting dod_dog1 out (Version that came with DoD Beta 2.0), a few over lapping brushes, but they will have to stay. That's the price for the func_tractrain entities being screwed up now.
