Is there anyway to make the console picture a higher resolution than 800x600? It looks horrible when it gets stretched to fit the screen , and it looks like a really cool pic if it were at the right resolution.

I think the res is less than that.

6 something by 4 something. =P

And no, or EVERY mod team would use bigger res.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..... well ok.

The CS 1.6 one seems to be a more clear picture than the DoD one is :-/

The default console is 320x240 pixels, the biggest you can go is 640x480, which actually makes a considerable difference in the image quality. The only way to make that particular image higher-rez, is to take the source image that it was made from and convert it to 640x480.

Cant you just replace it with any 640x480 picture?

You can, there is a specific program that converts it into the proper format for hl, I can't remember the name now. Maybe in the MSA FAQ you'll find something.

I've been looking through the dod folder, but i can't find the file either... :/

The file is called pldecal.wad. You can find it at your main DoD-Folder.

HERE (http://www.stormpages.com/console/makeconsole.html) is a tutorial how to make your own console-image!

Actually, the console picture is a file called cached.wad. It's located in your main DoD folder...

And that link isn't bad either :)
