Problem Compiling Model

Ok what i have done is decompiled a player model, made all of the models in the smd's high-poly...

and when i go back to compile the mdl in Jed's Half-Life viewer, close to the end of the process, it has an error and stops!

can anyone help me out?

try to compile it w/ milkshape and see what's the error

yea ive had the same problem with all mi custom player models, theyll decompile, but not recompile even if i dont change anything. but i dont have milkshape, havnt had it in years...

how do you compile the model in milkshape? i thought you could only decompile...:S

Your probably using the stock studiomdl compiler that came with the HL SDK - it doesnt work with DoD player models.

woops, didnt see the sticky

i dont get an error text while compiling, it just exits when there is something it doesnt like. it works find for things like weapon mdls and such, but not for player mdls

so is there a special Studiomdl.exe that i have to get for DoD Player models?

LOL. Dont worry - someone deleted the sticky when 1.3 came out and I only put it back up last night.
