Problem with Milkshape :(

I formated my computer and installed everything back again but milkshape for some reason is working slowly... when i move a vertex or a polygon or create a primitive it feels like the program "frames", it's not like a lag, i get it in real time but it's not happening smoothly and it's very annoying, i don't see myself working like that...

I tried installing older/diffrent versions but nothing seems to solve this problem, any idea what to do ?

Thanks in advance  :(

i got nvidia's latest...
about HLMV it's not installed yet but anyway why should HLMV have any affect on ms3d ?
If by "on" you mean working in the background then it's not... i know how laggy things get with it.

It will act really slow if you have two 3D apps running at the same time. For example, I cant run Max and then fire up Milkshape to do a quick export and I cant run Milkshape and HLMV at the same time (but then again, HLMV has always been a CPU hog).

Saying that, historically a lot of display problems with Milkshape seem to come down to harware or driver issues.

If you dont solve it I would suggest posting at the Milkshape3D forums. I know people complain that they dont get an instant response (what is it with impatient people these days???) but at least its mentioned in a place where your more likely to get an answer.

I haven't found that when having HLMV open and Milkshape to be of any problem....

It varies from machine to machine but on some they tend to grind to a halt.

Ahh yes, I do have some problems with my machine coming to a complete halt for about a minute after I quit any game...
