So while i was searching around google about DOD source, i found this neat little forum thread.

it looks incredible.... but scrunched. I'd ask for a link but I want to know whether you approve of this porting or not.

I think that maybe they didn't take out the FOV before porting it

I hope so, it looks like the BF1942 Kar (which I dislike). I hope that the DOD:S models don't all look 2 feet long.

Still it looks incredible. :eek:

The question remains however, does it kill Combine with one shot to the foot?

As Billie said, they couldn't have taken out the FOV, for in the screenshot it appears to be a foot long, lol.

Yep, all of it's 512x512. Jesus christ i wonder what it'd look like with 2014x2014 sizes.

it wont look better ...
i have experimented with different sizes
og texture on models and i find that anything
bigger than 512x512 wont make a difference
i just see it as a wast of mb
and now with the source engine people
are screaming high-res textures
like "wow we can have 2048x2048 let's get a dusin of these"
if you see all the textures in hl2 you can
see they are low-res, i guess it's because
they need to optimise the game
but i think it looks good

ps. what about the new smd splinter??

Yeah and he ported it successfully but obviously took no more time to do anything else. Does he get a cookie or something?
