Ok, i loved Splinters kar, but i dont like foved models, so i tryed to de-fov it, there is the work done:

Here is Splinters original:

http://www.iespana.es/JohnWolf/splinters.PNG

And here is mine:

http://www.iespana.es/JohnWolf/miamodded.PNG

I also corrected a tiny bug in the idle animation, in wich the fat finger would clip into the wood.....

It the first thing i ever do in Milkshape, so any suggestion or critic is welcome, since i just learned how to scale and move things around, there might be things i missed.....

If i get a host and Splinters autorisation, i will release it :)

Got one little thing, between his left thumb and weapon there is some space, on splinters however its not there. A very small detail :D

Overall i haven't got any comments, only then that it might be nice to post pics in .jpg, not .png as it takes awhile to load.

Can't wait for it to be released as i can't stand FOV most of the time.

It's on both Kar's. It's part of the idle animtation.

I really am having a hard time telling the difference....

*stares some more at the pics*

Edit: Could someone explain FOV to me in layman's terms?

Fov is basicaly making the end of the kar bigger, so it looks better in the firts person view, I dont know how to explain it better :P

Remember the 3.1b kar??, that was non foved, the 1.0-1.3 kar is foved.....

Ahhh! Now I see what you did. I absolutely hate looking at models in JHLMV that have been FOV'ed. Guh....

Cheers to you. Hope Splint let's you release.

for some strange reason i can't compile this qc after adjusting the origin
It compiles, via jed's HLMV, dos prompt pops up, you see all the usual, at the end a little summary which stays longer up then normal, close and it gives the standard windows error message.
The model however is compiled, but when i try to open it, it says "error loading model"

Anyone else having this to?

In addition to deFOVing it, you could also fix the proportions.

Could yo be more specific please??

I know it looks weird, but i dont know exactly what looks weird......

Ok, here si the final version, I tried to make the model the most real kar-like i could, so here is the result:

http://www.iespana.es/JohnWolf/karfinal.JPG

I would really apreciate some criticism......

I will release it as soon as i get a Host....

Also, can anione tell me how to make an animation shorter??? because the draw animation is too long :(

there's some major noticable (or not.. bad picture quality) texture misalignments on the barrel o_O

to slow down an animation sequence, scroll down the .qc file to the end (with the animations) and you'll see the animation, and then "# fps", lower the number to slow it down, make it higher to make it faster

@ the animation problem:

In the .qc file, there should be a line like this:

$sequence "draw" fps 30 (this is only an example)

If the animation is too long, increase the fps. For example, change the 30 in 40. Try to adjust it until it fits the draw time ingame.
