func_illusionaries and fog effect

Quick question......

This concerns the way certain things behave with the fog effect. I'm not sure if this is a built-in problem, or if its caused by the way opengl works on my card (NVidia FX5200).

This is what I'm banging on about:-

Func_walls fade with distance, just like normal world brushes, but func_illusionaries are unaffected by the fog.

I've played around with loads of settings in the func_illusionary and have not cracked the problem.

Anyone got any answers to this.

set the illusionary to "solid" it should work.

There's nothing you can do about it. That's the way fog works in Steam. Dont know why.

@The Nomad - This is the problem, setting the thing to 'solid' should work but it doesn't. In the fog, func_illusionaries stay visible no matter how far into the fog you are - a bit annoying really cos everything else fades correctly

@Dwin - Damn, I thought this would be the case - but you never know for sure unless you ask.

Guess I'll have to make env_models for all the external func's that give me problems. Models can be textured to work like func_illusionaries but behave correctly in the fog.

I'm gonna be a tad busy :(
