Some one please tell me how to skin a mesh in Photoshop Elemets.

What i mean is how do you make it so for eg the Stock looks like a stock not just a flat layer of texture i mean like this:

So the stock stands out and stuff.

I just cant do it and it looks crap.

Help Me!

contrast...desaturation.. whatever looks good. Then use the burn tool (midtones preferably) to darken the spots (like the bottom) and a combination of dodge (highlights mostly, little bit of midtones, and a weeeeee bit of shadows)

tbh i didnt explain my self very well,

i tried that and it works but the whole thing goes on colour instead of the mesh one colour.

What i mean is how do i skin the mesh and make it a different colour to the back ground unused part of the mesh.

you select that part on the mesh... click on the layer with the skin... copy-paste...
