From what I understand this entity is used for deployable machinegun positions, and being that there are not a whole lot of options in setting it up I am kind of confused as to why I cannot setup an mg on it when I compile my map. Any ideas/suggestions as to what the cause of the problem might be are greatly appreciated.

*notes about my map*

Still beta
Only allied spawns so far
Not all required entities thusfar to my knowledge.

okay from memory you have to set the yaw of the entity to face the way you want to be looking when you deploy, also make sure its big enough i believe 48units high, 48 wide and 16 deep, anyways yer use yaw i had the same problem on my first sandbag and it drove me nuts, i rekon this is your problem ;)

Heres something that may help you ;) refer to top view and entities yaw facing in the direction you want people to be able to deploy.

pick where you want the mg area to be, select the aaatrigger texture, make the area you would like the mg be in to deploy, make the box, select it , right click, hit tie to entity, choose dod_trigger_sandbag,

height and size do not matter, the larger you make it, that only makes it easier to find the deploy area, and can lead to someone being fully deploy and standing far behind the sandbag/window sill etc..

the way you are facing the entity is the way you face when deployed, change the degree angle to give wider field of view or narrow, I think 15 degrees is standard

Thanks a bunch fellas, I dont understand why such a popular mod has so little tutorials about its entities. Ive read and understood the verc website but they dont really go into much detail. Thx again :)
