Something i'm experimenting :)

Right now it's in french but i will make a english and german version.

Français: TOUCHÉ

English: GOTTCHA

German: none so far i need translation (no insults please)

Suggestions and crits are welcome.

[Edit] i fix the contrast.

hmmm, "gotcha" and "touche" are indeed good ideas, but i am afraid in german there is nothing that would be short enough (if its not an insult :D ), mybe "erwischt!" (means the same like gotcha)... i will have to think a bit longer for a nicely fitting german word

maybe the sprites should be a little bit more bright, so u can see them good (think of the dark german uniforms and the almost dark maps....(aaargh i forgot the maps became brighter since retail...))

@ Intifada : it will be brighter and more cartoony, right now i'm toying with the idea.

@ EGETRae, Richy Cunningham: it's not the pics , try to adjust the contrast of your monitor.

@ Strider: :D

Ty for the feedback.

I play 3.1 on steam as well, only problem is that there are only 2 servers running it.

The pics are very dark, my contrast is set stupidly high...

i loved the dark maps of the time before retail, it was so hard to see anyone and if u saw something moving or a helmet u shot it just to see it was ur teammate... in these days dod had a lot more atmosphere, i think.
lets hope the maps become darker again

I'm playing with bots on those images.

give it a border and thicker colors inside, so it looks like a comic :)

Which do you use? Sturmbot? And is that 3.1 thru steam?

@ Cpt_Speirs[OwP]

Yes, it's sturmbot (1.5).

No, it's not thru steam.

@ [4thR]HyPeR

That's the next phase, so far i'm not happy with the result.

I still have to learn about psp7 :o

can a blood sprite only be red? i looked at one in spriteViewer and it was grey, so i guess the sprite can only have one color, from very dark to very bright, am i right? otherwise u could try a more colored version with some comic-style letters that seem to be 3D, if u know what i mean. would be great, too

if u didnt understand i will maybe draw a little pic, just ask me

Why are you testing this with an older version of DoD?

Intifada

to bring up big emotions and make us cry, i always think of the good old times seeing these pics... :(

well, 1.3 is good, too :D

From what i learned the sprite can only be red (i may be wrong).

The result is the same with a newer version of dod.

I make a big drawing of the sprite (600x600) first, then i resize it (72x72) and i loose a lot of quality in the final result. If some one have a better way of resizeing image without quality loss, please tell me (i'm a noob at psp7).

@Intifada: Whitch map would you want to see pics next time? ;)
