Should be released this weekend when the custom sounds are ready.
I've fixed small things on the shoot and reload animations. But these avi's give a pretty good idea of what to expect.

1 question.
For the shoot animation, how did you get the bullet to eject like that? Animated it?

Great animations, very very professional work !
Small problem with the bullet though... from what i understand you animated the bullet ejecting out but atm the bullet that flys out of the rifles in DoD is a model (or a sprite ?) that is common to all the other rifles so if im not mistaken you will see 2 bullets fly while playing unless you make some crazy animation pack for all the dod weapons... but maybe im wrong and it can work somehow after all.

you can edit the ejector attachment in the qc and move it like 200 feet off screen so you dont see the default dod shells flying out

truly pro work. i think animations are under rated and may be the most important thing in a games graphics. if it is that smooth in game, i will def. d/l and make you re-animate all the other weapons. truly :carrot: work!! RELEASE

I learned from Jennifer ;)

I'm planning to do some more animations for Dod, most of the animations aren't really all that great so it would be a nice thing for the mod :)

Yes I animated the shell. We'll just delete that line in the qc file.

The buttsmack for the garand really needs to be re-worked for one. At the moment it looks like he just doesn't try to even hurt anyone with the buttsmack.

yah, I'm planning to do some more guns in the future.

I was thinking a KAR or Enfield rifle next. Then the thompson.

After that we'll see. Any weaponmodel suggestions? (without deleted backfaces :/) I'm not even remotely up to date with the custom Dod community.

O, btw, what's a good map to show models in Dod? In CS e.g. aztec's a good map because the lightning is white, not yellow like e.g. dust. anything similar in Dod?

I might write a tutorial in the near future too :]

Anyways, vunsunta's making custom sounds for it too.

I'll see if I can release tomorrow.

Here is a set of kar anims that I started, but have not gone through and smoothed them out. It is the idle, stab, stabslash SMDs. The Idle was inspired by the 3rd person idle in the player.mdl

I saw a stab similar to these, and tried to see if I could do them. If you tweak them I will be happy, if you take an idea from them, I will be honored, if you make some cool ones I will use them ;)

I quite like them, why didn't you finish them and release? They look a lot more powerful than the defaults (which look like they can't even hurt a fly)

(It is a program he bought but has not used for a while, no illigal usage:PARROT: ) but I did release them, in the JapPack for the T99 rifle. I will be tweaking them a little to make them look better, but with milkShape, it is like pulling teeth.

as for using the idea, I would love to see what you come up with. I didn't spend much time on them, just enough to make them look "good-enough"

Release has been postponed due the sounds not being done yet.

I'll be fixing the rest of the compile tomorrow and release monday or tuesday.

I'm leaving for basic training on wednesday so I really want this out before then.

Unfortunately not, due to the idiots of the military hospital nitpicking about some detail with my right eye. Unmotivated, untrained, fat morons on my selection however did got approval. So I was quite pissed. We'll see what the future brings ...

wow, i love it! great work, and i have to say, i love the hand psitions, too reminds me of MoH for the ps2... it looks great from the vids i d say u could use this model for source...
