Hacking Skin job Help.

Hey i wanted to make some changes to a few textures, I am adding SS on the axis helmets and a pack of smokes on the american helmets, etc.... So anyway i open the MDL in JHLMV and export the BMP, But the RBG wont allow the colors i want, So.. I cut and paste, and save as a 16bit BMP, and when i try to import with the SS symbol on the helmet I get an error that says. " Error Loading: BMP Texture ", I have no Idea what this could be. Unless it has to be an 8-bit BMP and it wont accept 16bit, But the problem with that is that my Photoshop CS wont save as 8bit for a reason beyond me.

U must convert to 256 colours by going to Image>mode>Index colour.
When u save it u must have 8 bit ticked, it should be the only option anyways.

I pray this works, you know how like when you cant figure somthing out, and it starts to annoy you, and you cant find help, lol

ok that worked great, but i have yet another problem, The models no longer run. they just like slide around like gumby, Now i am using customs models for this, and i never tried them before making the edit. so maybe the models themselves dont work? could that be the problem?

Also, where are the default models?

Maybe the models havent been converted to 1.2?
