How many frames in idle.smd?

Is there a way to find out how many frames per animation are used by the game? Most anims like reload or shoot I have not noticed any problems, but for idle I have, in 2 different guns with 2 different problems.

I did the idle anims for the Johnson LMG (BAR replacement) and I think I made it too long, the last part (the good part) didn't play (160 frames)
When I made the anims for the T99 (Kar98 replacement) I used 90 frames and those 90 frames last 5 seconds, then there is a 9 second delay before the next idle starts to play again.

So, is there a set number of frames for all idle animations?
is there a different number of frames depending on the model?
is there just a set dead-air time in the idle anims so that no matter how long you make it there is always a 9 second delay?

Im not aware of a set number of frames - in theory for any animation it will play all of them and then loop at the end.

The only thing I can think of is that another "event" is occuring in DoD causing it to end the idle animation prematurely and start playing another.

well, I guess there is no SET number of frames, I lengthend the frames to 160, from 90, and it played all of them, but there was still that 9 seconds of dead air. TY jed for replying.
