Submodel question..probably going to be flamed..

Ok, I've always wanted the unteroffizier with a helmet not a cap and the grenadier with pants tucked in. So I explored the axis model in HL model viewer and went to the body section. Then made a combination of submodels. So I used the unteroffizier body, gear and face submodels and put the default German helmet instead of the cap and this is what I came up with.

What I want to know is if there is any way at all to use this combination as the unteroffizier one rather than the one with the cap? I guess there isn't coz if there was a way somebody would've mentioned it days after 1.0 release but it wouldn't hurt to ask right?

I don't see why you think you would get flamed....but to answer your question, yes, it is possible...once we get a player compiler. Our current one is just for weapons and from what I've read on these boards, it doesn't work too well.

Just thought it might be flamed because this has probably been discussed in past threads. So is anyone working on a compiler right now?

The only problem with that is that you would have to replace the cap on the sniper as well, since he uses the same sub-model as the unter.

I would prefer sniper w/ cap but I'm willing to sacrifice his cap for a helmet just so I can see an unteroffizier with helmet! BTW how about the grenadier pants tucked in boots? I'd have to change the mger's too right?
