Np i renamed another model so i could check out the map, aight it looks pretty good actualy, though on the wall in your next version id make use of some of the crack textures randomly along the wall to break it up a bit, also the two closer wall brushes outside of where you could walk i wouldnt stretch the texture so much sense its so close the ones farther out are fine thought because you cant realy see them, id also add a tiny bit of detail on the hills along the beach i understand the limitations but it would look nicer, thers a few bugs in the terain because of some angles but you prolly already know about this, the iner bunkers are actualy pretty good though id make the area where the axis spawn is a tad bit darker not to much but its just a little to bright atm, overall the concept and layout is pretty good i think.

btw, there are 3 seperate easter eggs you can find.. 2 in spectator, and one for axis... similar to the charlie, but kinda like 'beachhead2000' in a way. :p you'll see when you try ^_^

pretty good map, but could use lots more work :P very nice start. the beachline should be changed, i dont think there is a beach anywhere where it just goes straight for miles. the beach itself is pretty well done. you need to think of a way to end the beach on the sides, like how charlie had rocks. as it is, it looks funny with just land shooting out on each side and you cant go over there, and there is nothing over there.. if you know what i mean. the rest of the above-ground portion of the beach is pretty well detailed, could use a few bushes or trees in places though. there is one trench that annoyed the hell out of me (its by a big gun, that is inside a bunker). the underground bunker stuff seems really repetative, the walls, the lighting, the rooms, they all look the same. i suggest studying how they did the underground paths in charlie to get some ideas on how to spice it up. i had a few troubles on some of the corners down there too, it was weird, i would get stuck on nothing sort of. its a good map though, dont give up on it yet ;P

Great map.

3 suggestions:
1) Destroying the bunker is a great idea. However you should make it so the entrance to the bunker is blocked off instead of having it set to kill people when they enter.
2) There were mortars landing on the places where you couldn't go on the beach. I suggest concentrating them on the places you can go.
3) The wall texture was stretched along the part of the beach you can't go sort that out :) On the subject of textures, you deffinately need to use more, it looks very plain.

This is a great map and very fun to run around. I'm going to look for the easter eggs now :D

heres a few hints on the easter eggs... 2 can only be seen by spectator view... blocking off the bunker entrance isnt a good idea, if u know charlie's easter egg.. this is similar... and ill make sure ill take these suggestions for V2 =)
on the subject of textures, im having a very good texture artist helping me with new ones ^_^

Well then make it so the bunker kills much faster. You can get a good 3 or 4 kills before you die in there. Also think where the rubble would go from the explosion. Perhaps instead of blocking off the bunker completely make it so the you can't see out of it, so you can get down the ladder but not shoot out?

good map. i only ran around it alone. hopefully i find a server playing it when im online. few small things here and there. cant wait till the next version with the new textures. i dont like how u melt when u go in the bunker. close it off. ill judge it more when i get in an actual game.

I haven't got a chance to play it yet, just walked alone. It's not so bad :), few thing frustrated me though:
- invisible walls (manual clipping) on flat ground
- clipping problems in many places, it suddenly stops your movement without any visible reason,
They will be probably more irritiating during play, when enemy will quickly kill you standing alone on open field. Other things to fix IMO:
- more cover
- align (with better gravity) hedgehogs, and sandbags.

Great map, just like everyone else said, anyway heres what i got to say.
On the left side right when u come off the beach and behind the sanbag is the trenchline, I don't see it realistic that the exit to the trench is facing the beach, i could be wrong but perhaps the wall could be there and a bench there so players could look over the wall.
Anyway great map, I like the tunnel layout, and how you made the roads go into another area i thought the map was over when i saw the hedgehogs but i walked around and saw another area, cool. Great dirt trench, thats a great idea.

Well i finally got this map on my server and within 5 minutes of me putting it on we had 5 people on it playing. So it changes and we got another map later on we go back to it and we suddenly had about 10 peoepl on playign it. Beised everythign everyone else has said its a good beach map. My suggestions would be less morotr fire on the beach maybe puttign in the mortors like on charlie so the axis have to man them to make them effective.
The big drawback so far has been teh gettign caught on the ground mostly getting out of the trenches or the mortor pits. The Allies have way to much view of the hilltop making it very hard for axis to snipe the allies on the beach. Also after the bunker is blown up you are still able to go in and die (maybe adding rubble to block the door) because most people would run in there thinking its clear. Those are the bggest problems i am seeing of course there might be more. and i am probably repeating what alot of others have said.

Our server is

66.28.23.97:27025 [Totenkopf] Clan FF Server

dod_d-day_v1 will be in normal rotation as we get the newer version. But if it is asked for enough we will change it to the map so it can be played.

I like it but it's lacking something, it just doesn't catch me. It feels way too small once you climb the hill and beach is too plain. I reckon you should make the hilltop objectives more spread out and add more detail such as bushes. Also get some more random mortar sounds if you can! OR do what dog1 has, normal DoD mortars plus random explosions controlled by a timer. This makes the artillery feel more varied.
