VIS problem

ok, in my map i will be walking around but at one certain spot (about a meter or 2 radius), the vis will totally fail and you will be able to see an incredible amount of all the map. Although a hedge is blocking half of your view, r_speeds are a killer. I tried fooling around with the sky, nothing happened. I try placing around null textures, nothing happened. What can I do to fix this ONE spot? I bet many of you know what I am talking about, and its a pain. :(

Try altering the max portal node size a little bit, so BSP and consequently VIS does an entirely different cut of the world. There may be some oddity with the default way it's bsp'ing the world.
