How are the speeds and all that.

On your cr44 map I lag like a biatch whenever I get into open areas.

All that said very sexy man.

its great to see the use of textures from dod_escape, i reckon they have a fantastic theme and its a good change from the jagd textures that feature prominantly in a lot of maps. Top Stuff.

the r_speeds w_poly are between 350 up to 500, and in the huge area about 600 up to 650.

they're never above 700 ;)

Sky works well with the rest of the map. Try hiding the fact that there's nothing on the other side of those walls with some foliage.

TIP
When in doubt, add foliage :D

They reach 1035 at one place. Looking from Allies 2nd flag, thru arch, on Axis left exit into central area.

few things i noticed in a run-around. the building with the awning on the left of the allies first flag, the awning should be clipped if you are going to let people go out that window. another thing i noticed was that much of the map had high epoly (10,000-12,000 - some places as high as 13,000+)

Yes it looks nice as everyone says here, but does no one
wonder about the layout anymore?
Layout is what in the end makes or brakes a map,
i think you should post a pic of the layout J69L...

J69L,

Your map is superb, great design and textures. One thing, though, the game play is one sided. Even if the Allies RUSH out of the spawn and past the 2nd flag as quickly as possible, they're still never able to advance past the open square.

Once the Axis get into position, it becomes a turkey shoot. The Allies simply camp at the second flag and try to hold back the Axis for as long as possible. Eventually the Axis rush forward and finally capture the last two flags. Rinse and repeat for each round.

All the Allies really need is a 3rd route into the open square area, and some of the barricade inside the arch near the 2nd flag removed or repositioned.

For those of you who post here take head of how sword made his post...I may not agree to everything he says but notice that he said he thought the map was one-sides...he said why he thought it was one-sided and he offered up a suggestion on how to make it less so. Clear, concise, and remarkably lacking in emotional angst.

I've been running custom map servers for almost three years now, and there have literally been hundreds of great looking maps added and then removed from my servers.

The mappers spent so much time creating a great looking map, that game play was never taken into account. We still have maps on our servers that were created back in the 1.3b days, simply because they play great.

This map is one of the best custom maps I've seen in quite some time. It could easily be mistaken for a "standard" dod map when judged by it's quality and design. It looks like J69L really spent a lot of time, effort, and thought in its creation.

I'm hopeful that the mapper will consider modifications to improve the game play. It's a really nice map and I'd like to see it become a classic. Not many changes are needed, but without them, it will eventually be voted off my servers. I’m sure it played fine in small
play tests, but within a few rounds on one of my 20 player servers, the Allied team was
ready to vote for another map. No fun to be the turkey in a turkey shoot.

I encourage J69L to take FuzzDad's lead and listen to the feedback you get from the community after releasing a map. Who knows, dod_trust might just end up in DoD 1.4 . . .

so i am wondered about that now..hm
but i will recognize all your wishes for the next beta!
i just startet the work for it ;)
and hey, i am the last one that do not listen to the community ;)
