Sandbags on DoD

Ok I am using Valve Hammer Editor and I'm trying to make a good sandbag with pretty good clippings.

Does anyone know any websites that already have sandbags clipped good or does anyone here have good sandbags for DoD?

If so, can you please post them.

By clippings; I mean clipped with the Clip Tool :D

-Thanks in Advance

It's always best to clip yourself, as the angles you use or the exact model may be different. The model zoo is horribly buggy and outdated. It wasn't even really all that correct back for the version it was made for (1.0). With the exception of a really complex model, it shouldn't be too tough for you to make a 3 piece clip for a sandbag :)

Well, good luck with clipping sandbags in submodels :-\.
BTW, I think he wants to do brushed sandbags or doesn't know much about how dod sandbags are "working".

Gorbatchev is right, as usual. I suggest to download the decompiler from the MSA forum, then recompile the submodels, and clip them. Remember the zoo clips for sandbags are complex, they take a lot of time during compile.

Whot? Decompile and recompile a model to clip it? What a mess. But hey welcome in mapping :p ... and prepare for HLČ. Learn modeling.

I've been able to do it but what a pain considering there is a tool out there that can do this yet for some reason we can't have it ... damn pain in the arse

lol ... the tool to do that just confuses me at the moment ... I'm dreading mapping for HLČ

Haircut, Don't worry, i made a few maps for HL2, (very simple cus I had to use ****ty ass hammer) but I'm amazed at how easy it was to add things in game - adding monsters was easy, adding the buggy was easy, I made a trick course for the buggy and also a "giant" brush based gun that shot out barrels and had a loading system too... hehe the barrels shot out and killed barneys

good times

making sandbags with brushes is the best overall, imo. Unless you use a very simple model.
all brushwork = no clipping needed, no invisible func_wall needed, no model entity needed. You just saved 2 entities and a bunch of compile time. Just take your time with the vertex tool and make some nice rounded shapes, then only texture the visible faces (null for the rest), the 'clipping' will always be perfect.

Except that epolies are easier on the engine than wpoly...as well as looking a hell of a lot nicer.
