Here is the Czech 7.92mm ZB light machine-gun model 1930 that was used in the Romanian army. It is the design that the makers of the Bren adopted. Can someone make it a MG-42 model and skin?

would be neat with some new models...but it would be silly to have this replace the Mg-42.

Not to be mean or anything, but notice how the theme of day of defeat is kinda featuring world war two stuff. There probably are Tom Clancy games or counter strike that could have these weapons. I like sticking to the basics but that is just me.

Just read over your post more carefully. Are those really world war two weapons? They look more like those M16 deployed snipers or whatever.

ehm, no, they are ww2 weapons and everything he said is true, they did copy this weapon and made the bren out of it

Alot of these were issued to the German army after they took Czechslovakia. Very good guns, the only real fault in them was the straight mag made they jam a bit as the vibrations from firing would make the bullets move and become stuck in the mag. Which is the reason why the Bren gun used banana mags as it prevented this from happening.

Anyway, I had one of these in the works ages ago. When I finish my exams I'll try and get it done and meshed.

Yeah. It is a ww2 weapon, that has been established. The reason i want it for the MG42 though is because the romanians only used the MG-34 and the ZB's. I am in the process of transforming my game. I have my own attempts at Romanian player skins, which are as close to the real thing as I can ever get since i had to use the german models. I did the same for the US, and turned them into my own Soviets. I passed those by to a russian friend of mine to have a look, and he agrees that they are really good. Anyways, I have all the soviet weapons, now i need the romanian ones, and i deleted all the other weapon requests, and have decided to add them in here. I will post all the pics of the weapons in the next 3-4 posts. Enjoy, and please help!

That would make a lot more sense seeing as the ZB wasnt a 200 round belt-fed beast that fired 1200 rpm.

Like this: http://dodec.hlgaming.com/filedb/pafiledb.php?action=file&id=598 (there's models to replace the 42 in there)

ever just thought of downloading milkshape or like 3d studio max and learning how to model. I don't think anyone will make your ROMANIAN PACK anytime soon.

looks kewl that gun. but in the last picture i cant see the magazine on top of the gun and the guy on the right seems to be pulling on some kind of belt, also notice all the rubbish lying next to the gun, is it possible that the latest picture shows another ZB-model which was actually belt-fed? if this applies, it could replace one of the MGs nicely

edit:
i compared all the pictures again and i think the last pic shows another gun, at least it isnt the zb-30, just look at the barrel.

Could be a zb-26, there were two or three variants that looked similar to one-another. Just a side note, the Bren wasn't copied from anything, the same company that made the 8mm zb-30 made a .303 variant for the British which they built under license.

I've actually been wanting to see one of these, maybe I'll make it myself, that is, if I can find enough reference photos. Post any links or photos you have and I'll maybe see what I can do.

Ok, so those pics were of what i could find of the ZB's in service with the Romanian army. Some are ZB-30's some ZB-53's and some are ZB-26's.

Here is the ZB-30 (http://www.machinegundealer.com/zb37.jpg)

This is a zb-26

BUMP!

If anyone has seen the Pacific Theater Conversion, and downloaded the Japanese weapons, the MP44 for that series looks just like the ZB machine gun i am looking for, except the clip is bent and for the ZB it has to be straight. If someone could make it for a MG34, it would be great. Thanks.
