M-1 Reskin

Aloha Gang!

Well, I've been working on this for a bit and I think I's done. :) Went for the M-1 Carbine this time. Did alot of custom wood and some custom metal on it. The main metal work is in the sliding breech for jacking the bullets. I added some long front-to-back grooves for indication of heavy use - and I added a star on the back instead of the writing. But, that only is the tip of the work done.

I hope my results are on par with the effort spent. :)

I'm proud of this one, I think.

I don't like it, imo it doesn't look too much like wood.

Its pretty good :).

It looks like the GI who was using this polished his war-torn Carbine for a parade through liberated Paris :).

Good work :).

Its a good skin but the default carbine model doesn't do it justice.

Please, enough of the yellow

Like Gen said, the yellowish tone is getting a little....er.....ya..you know what I mean. Nice work, you really should be proud. Try skinning Nomad or JaJa's carbine.

Maybe he (now this is very shocking) likes that color!

I happen to like that color, so sorry to have offended y'all. But uh... not all wood is dark, ya know? And, I looked at many, many pics of M-1's that showed that they were made this color. Not all, to be sure. But they did make em from lighter color wood. So, if you don't like it... cool. I happen to, so I used it. :D

My next model has a darker color wood, so maybe that'll please y'all. If not... :: shrug :: Don't DL it. ;)

And, I'm just answering BaDkaRmA158Th, no I'm far from color blind thank you - just in possession of different tastes from yours. Amazingly, I did not have a telepathic gadget to link directly into your brain that would let me know if you'd like this or not... that comes in the mail next week. Now a question from me... do you pseudo-insult the creators of every skin you don't like or am I special for some reason? Just asking.

I like it. I know its not a authentic looking wood. But I like the style you bring. Its unlike anyone else's wood. Its different. And I'm all about being different. I still use your springfeild. Keep up the good work and do what you feel.

I like this...

Maybe a lil construtive criticism...
I think this would benifit from bits of de-saturation near edges and tinges of brown in areas but ever so slightly.
Great nevr the less
Keep it up:)
