First attempt at reskinning.

For fun I decided to try recoloring some weapon skins. I recolored Ash's Tommy model to look like it's made out of silver or chrome, and made the wood texture on the Enfield and Scoped version much lighter. This was my first attempt at recoloring skins. I hope I wasn't supposed to contact Ash for permission to tamper with his model? If so, I will take it down in a heartbeat and offer my appologies. :)

Anyway...

Have a look at these screens:

Thompson (http://www.angelfire.com/pro/907thkentz/Thompson.jpg)
Enfield (http://www.angelfire.com/pro/907thkentz/enfield.jpg)
Scoped Enfield (http://www.angelfire.com/pro/907thkentz/scopedenfield.jpg)

If you like these you can get them here (http://www.angelfire.com/pro/907thkentz/SkinPack.zip).

I take no credit for the making of these skins, I simply recolored the them. :)

Is that a Thompson or the sun?

Nice for your first try though.

you went over kill

all the skins bmp's appear much brighter in DoD.

So a little change is more ingame. So start over, but do subtle changes.

Very nice for your first attempt. Work with the saturation tool a bit, and try burning and dodging to add some damage, ect.

Thanks for the replies. I tried going at it again and this time tried to avoid going overboard.

Enfield (http://www.angelfire.com/pro/907thkentz/retouchedenfield.jpg)

I tried really hard to add effects to the metal areas and wood textures a more war torn look, but my PS skills are limited in that area. Gotta keep practicing. :)
