ive been working on this for a while now and its almost done, it needs:

-FOV'ing
-smoothing
-UV mapping
-skining

i should be able to get these sorted out soonish :)

sorry for the bad picture but if you see anything wrong or anything that needs change/adding then feel free to say.

The barrel seems a little thin for a gun like the B.A.R. but that may just be the angle or because your waiting for fov. Other than that its very good. Nice to see someone making some fresh models of guns like these.

looks good foist.

the charging handle (name?!) looks a little small, and the trigger guard looks too narror, andi would advise making the barrel a little fatter. gj though mate

thanks for your opinions.
the barrel looks small partly because of FOV but i have made it bigger anyway

*edit
i have also done the charging handle (name!?)
and trigger gaurd

*edit
new attachment
charging handle larger/easier to grip in real life

just selecting bits and smoothing them really its fairly easy. do it in ms3d.

yea. i dont want a handle either, like doydy said, it gets in the way. not all of the BARs have handles.

Soldiers often took the handles and bipods off because they add a lot of weight to a weapon that's already very heavy. This was a problem especially during long marches, where the enormous weight of the weapon would wear the guys out before they got anywhere.

What I'd like to see, some day, is a Clyde-style sawed-off BAR. With an animated sling...

Yeah, its just personal preference, thats why I use Firegold's Bar.

well basically, rotz was gonna start it but theres a little error. so seeing as i uvmapped it i will fix the error in the model then in the uvmap and its ready. i would say look back in a few days an the uvmap will be updated,
