Flugplatz ladder fixed for 1.2?

Pretty straightforward question, is the ladder bug on flugplatz fixed?

If you don't know what I'm talking about, just crouch while going up the ladder on the axis right flank.

Specifically on the right edge of the ladder.

Very annoying!

One other thing too, mappers, please when putting in ladders, don't make them crappy like the ones on Carentan. You always get hung up on the top...and cannot get off them. I think its because they are flush with the surface you are climbing too.

God that is frustrating.

When they're flush it works just fine. It's all a matter of testing your own maps. I find that some parts seem like 0 testing was done in maps. This happens frequently. (Can you say dod_avalanche and the recent horrible light conditions with blacked out faces etc.?)

Not only the ladder has a problem, but the area around it too. With a quick manoveur, you can go prone and crawl in MID-AIR! I've made a short movie to show it, but I think it might be unsuitable to post it now.

Previously if you started shooting you could then climb on a ladder and continue shooting all the way up. As well as other buggy stuff with ladders.

Nope...not yet. I have a fixed verison on my HD but I didn't get it finished in time for this release. I'm trying to get it in a follow-on maintenance release.

In addition to the ladder-fix I managed to get lower r_speeds and used less brushes in this next version...whenever you revisit a map after a while you see things you missed...liked scaled down textures under a roof...those things cause face splits and add to wpoly. Other simple stuff like replacing the wooden shelving with a model (saved 42 faces X 5 = 210) and removing unecessary entities (like particle smoke on the tank and other fires). No planned changes to gameflow

I'm also taking time to completely re-clip the ME262's to 1.2 standards

Merderet's rope down into the river is a huge offender I've found. It never works for me...I'm fleeing a grenade or something and I get hung up on the top of the rope and have to jump off /hurt myself to get out.

that ladder flushness brings up another issue, with a FD map. The ladder into the allied 2nd flag from the jeep is a bit sticky.

Okay, a new candidate for the worst ladder ever is the one in the Kalt Axis spawn. It's a chore and a half to get off, nevermind stealthily.

I've attached a picture of the way ladders should be set up (tested time and time again). The white part is the ladder textured brush covered by a clip brush. The pink is the actual func_ladder. If you overlap you cause the stick at the top, and if it's too thick or thin you end up with other stupid glitches.

1.2 Falaise has a LOT of changes. :) That section has been substantially re-worked.
