There was a post awhile back about a sniper-only map idea, and it inspired me to make one.
It features some outstanding Tolchok models, textures from jagd.wad, and custom flyby sounds by me.
Check out the screenies and d/l here (http://greenhorn.dssgr.net/maps.html)

I'm glad to see some maps that focus on classes and weapons that don't look like, well, absolute crimes to mapping. While this isn't really impressive by any means, I think it could improve heavily and look quite nice.

critizme happens, deal with it or your in the wrong spot :)

Relax.
I'm in the final stages of alpha testing for dod_belfort as a matter of fact. But that's irrelevant. No map is perfect, even the official maps could be picked apart for inconsistancies and errors. If you want me to whisper sweet-nothings in your ear then that's fine, but you won't improve unless critial analysis is done.
If you must know the testing I'm doing on my map is critical only right now, I've been getting lots of people to play around in it and complain/tear apart any parts they can find that don't make sense, aren't efficient, don't look 'right' etc. etc.
There's too much tension on these boards sometimes, just because I don't have a full release doesn't mean I don't know anything about maps.

[edit again] Sorry for the double post, it said the message wasn't processed, but apparently it was.

Question: What is the single objective? Is there any incentive to cap it or is this just a deathmatch map?

omg- embarrassed here
first of all lemme just say that due to an accessive amount of alcohol in my system at the time, i totally MISREAD ur post Gorby, and then i proceeded to overreact

can we write this off to the evils of alcohol?

--peace, greenhorn

about the map, there is a 2-man capzone that takes a LONG time to cap, so it probably wont happen often, and most peeps will be camping with their sniper rifles anyway.
